CLOCKMAIKERS STAKING TOOL JMW-1584

The Clockmakers Staking Tool is a very useful tool for all types of rivetting and punching.
It is supplied with a good selection of punches suitable for all English and French clocks.
A bush is also supplied to enable the standard watchmakers stakes to be used.

The body and arm are manufactured in high grade iron and the rotating base is hardened
and ground. A centering runner is supplied. A useful feature is the top stake locating arm
which can be centred then swung away to enable long arbors to be accommodated, for example Long case centre arbors.

If necessary, the arm can be re-positioned with a positive locking and locating mechanism directly over the desired staking hole.

Supplied in a fitted box.

This simple jig is essential for accurately marking out all styles of wheel crossings, including 4 spoke, 5 spoke, 6 spoke crossings and tapered spoked crossings, for example English Longcase and Skeleton clocks.

The brass base plate has a series of accurately spaced holes that accommodate the various pins supplied
with the tool.
