This is a most useful tool for checking the depthing and action of English lever escapements on both pocket watches and carriage clock platforms. The tool is supplied in a fitted and lined case.





This is a precision optical instrument that can be used for both setting and inspection purposes on the lathe and milling machine. Typical applications include: -
- Centre finding; ideal for wheel and pinion cutting either for clock or watch work where accurate centring of the cutter is required - see book Wheel and Pinion Cutting in Horology, edge finding on the milling machine, alignment of machine centres.
- Visual inspection of components.
- Accurate positions from co-ordinates.
- Inspection of surfaces and cutting edges.
The tool is supplied in a fitted and lined case. Various arbors can be supplied to suit different machines. Standard are No I and No 2 Morse and Schaublin 70 Special 2' taper.
Magnification is 40x. This optimum measuring magnification has been chosen to be suitable for both clock and watch work and all general applications.
